Many couples are put off by the thought of complicated paperwork, spending hours in offices trying to obtain the correct documents. This generally is not the case, we can advise you on what is needed for your particular circumstances, much of which can be completed in your own country or by correspondence via the post. We can assist you with the running around here in Italy when required.

Do not be put off by this because as long as enough time is given then all this can be sorted out in plenty of time with the minimum of effort.A couple of days prior to your wedding day we will go with both of you to the local Comune office in the town where you are to be married to complete the paperwork. Here we will sort out the wedding certificates and any duplicate copies you may require. Generally the wedding certificate is in several languages including English.

  
 
On returning home you can take the certificate to your local registrar office to register you marriage in your own country. Your wedding in Italy is internationally recognised. With our assistance there is no need for you to worry at all about this part of the wedding planning.Even if you both have a fairly good understanding of the Italian language and can speak it quite well, Italian law requires that you employ the services of an officially recognised Interpreter for the ceremony. We can supply you with a copy of what will be said prior to your wedding day. You may find this quite useful because the vows are a little different to those in your home country, for instance you will not be asked to honour and obey here in Italy.
In a civil wedding ceremony in Italy rings are not normally exchanged however we can ask the interpreter to organise an opportunity for you both to do this in your own unique way.You may also require the assistance of an interpreter at the ‘comune office’ when finalising the paperwork a few days prior to the ceremony.Although a recognised interpreter is a legal requirement here in Italy it is also reassuring to know that if there is any aspect of the proceedings you do not understand or require clarity about there is someone there to advise and assist you.
