For generations flowers have
been used to express emotions and feelings, and in Italy this
has been especially true with different flowers for different
occasions. Red roses, signify ‘passion’, whilst yellow
roses are generally for ‘friendship’. Gifts of flowers
(except for red roses which are given by the dozen), should be
given in odd numbers: five, seven, nine etc.
|
In Italy it is important to
remember when buying flowers as a gift you must never give chrysanthemums
as they are considered the flowers of the dead , and belong on
coffins and graves. For similar reasons white lilies are never
given to couples with children.

Flowers are an integral part of any wedding used
to add style to the occasion and to compliment the colour scheme
chosen by the bride, and as gifts to family members. We have
selected a small number of florists who not only have an in
depth understanding of flowers in general, but also have a good
knowledge of the flowers in season and are wedding locations
enabling them to work with you to plan for your wedding.
|
You will need to think about many different components,
from the brides Bouquet, flowers for the brides maids, button
holes for the family, and perhaps a display for the wedding
car, to how you wish to decorate both the wedding location and
the reception. If the locations are different we can transfer
the displays.

A display for the
car, Button holes and corsages and most importantly the flowers
for the bride and her party. Once you decide we take away all
the worries ensuring flowers are delivered where you want them,
when you want them.
Colour coordination is essential, our florist will advise you
what flowers are in season and what options there are. We can
arrange everything from flowers for the church or castle, and
after for the reception hall (we are happy to move flowers from
one location to another). |

What ever
you require for your wedding day we will work with you and the
florist to ensure that the flowers are perfect for this very special
occasion.
